Update as of 06/2010:

I don't understand the obsession with photo, but whatever. I think it's funny that this photo has recieved so many fav's and views - a whopping 3,000 more views than my actual userpage.

For the recod - I have grown to hate the photo. I have had many discussions about it with my husband. I think it lacks skill - it was a quick shot for a high school photography assignment. It took little effort. Adjusting the colours in photoshop took even less effort. It is a piece of artistic garbage in my sight.

But my husband reassures me that I have talent, an eye for design that the general popluace seems to lack. He tries to convince me that not anyone can produce that image. I am skeptical - after all, it took no extra effort or skill on my part. I did not sweat and bleed over it like I have on other pieces of art. I seem to think that if someone wants to accomplish something, then they will work hard at it and not give up until they succeed. Therefore, this image is not something that could not easily be duplicated by someone with the desire to do so.

I just pressed the button on the camera and played with some filters. Whooptie-do. But, again, whatever.

Prints have been enabled due to popular demand - might as well make some money off this crap while people still like it...

For those who are curious and blind and/or lack imagination:

It is a basket of plastic, christmas tree ornament glitter balls - or disco balls, as they are more commonly called (I think glitter ball sounds way cooler, but that probably has something to do with the fact that I don't like disco, lol). I snapped the picture at a super-huge christmas store in Michigan.

Thanks!

It greatly depends on the nature of the "project". If you can tell me a little more about the project, we can go from there. :)

Ok, cool. No prob. I just wanted to know what you were using it for - wouldn't really approve if it were for something that I found offensive or morally objectionable. But, I have nothing against the peace sign. :D

Just, ya know, pay attention to the CC - it's gotta be non-commercial, put a link back to the gallery page of my original piece in the description of your piece, and make sure you select a Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike Creative Commons license.

Have fun. Good Luck. etc. :D
