Aphrodite Cries

I remember being quite proud of this one because of the fully illustrated background and dimension. There was some convoluted pro-women concept behind this - something about Aphrodite crying because every woman, no matter the shape, should be beautiful and a sex symbol.

Given some of the myths and interpretations of Aphrodite, I am not so sure she would have cared about the body image of mortal women. But, then again, perhaps she would have wanted them all to feel beautiful and sexy - as long as they weren't thinking they were more beautiful or sexier than she. *shrugs*

At the time, I was really jazzed about the proportions. The angle of her body was something new for me and I think I actually pulled it off pretty well... even though the proportions are a tad bit wonky.
