I am twenty-something, married to the military, gluten-intolerant, and named after bread. I have a passion for art of all kinds, but find myself especially drawn to and moved by Impressionism/Post-Impressionism, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and Synthpop music. There is a scientist in me as well and I am drawn to Science Thrillers, turn-of-the-century science fiction, and Steampunk. I have a romantic lurking in the closet, too, and my guilty pleasures include steamy paranormal romance novels and corsets.

My number one pet peeve is when people mistake my occasional blonde and somewhat absent-minded nature for stupidity. My number two pet peeve is when people underestimate my capabilities - it is not that I cannot do something, it is that I have nothing worthwhile as motivation and therefore choose to not do that something.

I think that this world should not be a black and white world ; therefore, I try to infuse as much colour into it as possible at every opportunity! I also believe that vampires should NEVER sparkle, global warming doesn't exist, and colour and favourite should ALWAYS be spelled with a "u" in them - even if it's "wrong".
